NOTICES
The annual report on Hong- kong for 1013, compiled by the Colonial Secretary, Mr. Claud Severa, has recently been issued as a Parliamentary paper. Wo can only regard it as a somewhat archaic document, which presents, nevertheless, a useful record of the affairs of the Colony from year to year for purposes of referenco. It would serve little purpose to revenue and trade there set out, but we may deduce from them that the Colony, generally speak commercial and industrial activity. It is of interest to note the altered relative positions of German and Japanese shipping visiting the Colony. In 1912 Ger- maa shipping arriving occupied the second place on the list, but in. 1913 German shipping fell to the third place in both number and WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY
