Britain Selzes American Cargo,

Feb, 11, 3.35 p.m. The British authorities have seized the cargo of foodstuffs on the American steamer Wilhelmina, which has arrived at Falmouth. The cargo was consigned to an American subject in Hambarg. The seizure is justified by the German Government's appropri- ation and distribution of foodstuffs, as the cargo would otherwise have been passed as destined to the civilian population.

Warning.

The Note to Germany makes it clear that any attack on a vessel fying the American flag without its being definitely, ascertained that the use of the flag is fictitious will be viewed as a grave and will result in serious complications.
