Pahang Consolidated; Report for year ended July 31 sio es total authorised preferred" ospital (E100,000) has now b:en issued. During the year holders of options (which expired on Jure, 2, 1014) extroized" their righte in respect of 348,135 ordinary' shares of 5 sob. The ordinary capital of the company now issued is £374,370.10. Debentures out- standing at July 31, 1913, viz, £3,000 at 5 po, and £81,000 at 'd p.o. have been redeemed. Ao- cident at the mill resulted in a. reduced tonisge crushed during first four mouths of 1914. Result are :-Tons of ore treated, 137, 055, against 1:7,543 in 1912 13; tons of black in produced, 2,016, against 1,306); allavist tin pro duced, 196, against 175k, total production, 2211, against 1,542. The percentage of black tin per ton of ore irated in the past year was 1'47, against 1 07 and 1:09: in the two prorious years. The improved quality is largely dur to higher values in the lower! levels in Willink's mine. The average price realired for the black tin in the past your was $107, per ton, against £140 iz 1912-13. Their fit on the year's working of thewines was £71,242, againat £82,377 the previous year. Too directora consider this aztisfacu ry, 18 the partial stop- page of the mill for four months "decreased the profits by over £20,000, Dedacting interest on debentures, 10.. anet profit remains of £04,027, and adding £6,122 frooght forward there is £70,149,

transfer to reserve fund, £20,000. Dividend on £54,500, the original issue of 7 p.o. cumulative pre- ference shares for the half-year to Jan. 31, 1914 (paid), £1.907; dividend on the fall issue (£100,. 000) preferencoebares to July 31, 1014, £3,448; bilance to be carri- od forward, 47,306. The directcra regret boirgonable to re- commend a dividend on the ordinary sharea. In their view the present state of affa ra and the great difficulty experienced in dis posing of the tin produced (aver 600 tons of black tin being stored in Singapore) compel them to adopt this comrvative attitude. The working of alluvial tin by wenns of Chinesstributere realted in a return of 188 tons, as com pared with 173 in the previous yer. Owing to the fall in the price of metal, it is unlikely that the tributera will continue this. work on the sɔmo scale.
Planting Sungei Talam Estate, -The planted irea bas been in- creased to 1,000 acres, of which 227 aores in lopping. The pro- duction was 48,362 lbs., against 28,101 lbs. a year ago. The estimated produce for 1914-15 is 75,000 lbs. Kusis Reman Estate-The planted area ́ie now 1,722) aeros, an additional | 400 acres having been planted during the year. It is estimated that some 50,000 lba, should result from the tapping in 1915-16. The reports on this estate are highly gratifying. The expenditure on the Kaala Benin Estate for the past year was £12,626,
