Kinematography.

Though it is not to be expected that motion pictures can be secured which show scones of, notusl fighting in Europe, it is satisfactory to know that the kinematograph is placing on re- cord incidents in the great crisis which will not only prove of mach interest in years to come but which have, of course, great attraction at the present time. Kinematography has reached a wonderful scientific pitch and its possibilitics appear to be unlimited. It is a form of entertainment which requires no aid to ensure its general apprecia- tion, whether to interest, instruct or amuse; animated photography ja ever obliging. Some of the best films can bo teen each even- ing at St. George's Indoor Kinema, Bubbling Well, Shanghai. In this comfortable place of entertain- ment there is always a varied Balection of pictures, which em- brace the latest war topics, and some excellent comedies.
