Saratoga Springs (N. Y.), No- vömber 5.-Letters of administra- tion of the estate of Mr. F. Fleitmann of Now York, bis sister: Mrs. Fleitmann was appointed guardian of Mr. Heinze's only son, Mr. F. Augus- tus Heinze. The value of the estate was not mentioned in the petition. Crime in Sydney on the

Decrease.

Since the outbreak of war there! has been a notable "dearcase. in the number of crimes committed in Sydney. Records collected by the Police Department show that the falling.cft amounts to at least 20 per cent. Housebreaking, which nine months ago, was prə. valent in the suburbs to an almost alarming degree, has become an ocossional occurrence, and losses bave been comparatively small. Even the sneak-ihief has shown less activity lately. The moral effect of the war on criminsi+ hag been advanced as an explanation of the decrase, but the police think the main reason is that people are more careful with their valuables. Houses are not left unguarded so frequently; conse- quently, there are less opportuni ties for thieves.

Another War Song. London, November 12-"We are coming, Father Abraham," the well-known poetic response to President Lincoln's call for more men in the Civil War, is being used to stimulate recruiting here. The now version reads:
