Chinwangtao Shipping Returns, The shipping returns for the port of Chinwangtao for the April-June quarter of the present: year show sensible increase in the proportion of Japanese
tonnage, due principally to the chartering of Japanese ships by the Kailan Mining Administration for the conveyance of its coal. The proportion of Japanese fonnage entered during the quarter was more than half of the whole, 50.8 per cent., while Brit ish, which came second, was only 23.2 per cent. American tonnage was third on the list with 7.9 per cent. and Norwegian a close fourth with 7.5 per cent, Chinese Leave Hongkong tonnage was 4 per cent. and
