Singapore Mortality Returns.

The mortality returne for Singapore issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths show that, during the week ending Novem- ber 14, there were 227 deaths (150 males, 68 females), giving a ratio per mille of population of 30.01. Malarial fever accounted for 30 deaths, phthisis 31, convul- aiens 25, bari-beri 11, bronchitis 12, dysentery 14, pneumonia 15. Thirty-seven children under three montba of
