Shipping and Cattle Export. The Bureau of Animal Industry issued an order on October 9 modifying the shipping laws rɔ. lating to the exportation of cattle, horses and the like. These have heretofore been so stringent in comparison with the requirements from Canada, for instance, that the shipments of cattle and horses practically ceased from Atlantic ports and went by way of Halifax, The United States requirementa provided a stall for each animal and the sanitary arrangements wore strict, and by the new mo- difications cattle may be accom modated on the decks, and there is some essing in the sanitary re- quirements, The order applied to New York and New Jersey-ports, and it is said that it released for ahipment 80,000 head of ostile. It is expected that Boston will apply to be favoured with the same modification.
