This is the silustion that now confronts the agents of the Nippon Yasen Kaiahs and other Japanese lines at every port of csil on the North Pacific, says the Viotria Daily Colonist. Each day would-
turned away in batches from the beadquarters of the agents, whose principal dovies ere to use all the powers at com. mand in an endeavour to pacify the feelings of those who are un able to secure the necessary trans- portation. The rush of basiness is so phenomenal that the agents declare that additional ships to those now plying in the service could be filled with ease. There is hardly any possibility, however, of other vessels being despatched in the service, as, according to information brought by Captain 8. Komastubara, of the Yokohamas Maru, the Eurogoan service of the line bão not been interfered with by the European war, and, consequently, none can be spared from that route. Three big ships, recently completed in Japanese yards, will be ready for service this month, and when they are placed in the European trade, it is altogether probable that some important changes will be announced in connection with the NY K. trans Pacific service..
