Reuter's Capetown correspondent states that a commando under Colonel Maritz has rebelled in the north-west of the Cape Province and concluded an agreement with the Germans,
Colónsi Maritz claims to bave German guns and. German troops, and threatens to over-ran South Africa.
The Union Government has replaced Colonel Maritz and proclaimed martial law. It will punish all rebele and traitors according to their deserts.
The incident has ceased the utmost indignation throughout South Africa. There is no uneasinessS felt of the disaffection spreading.
Belgian Government Removes.
