Claim for $580 in the Summary Court,
This morning in the Summary Court before Mr. Justice Hazeland, Cheong Chap-hi, a trader of Kowloon City, sued Wong Kwai- pak, 272 Dea Vanz Road, claiming the sum of $580 tsing money received by the defendant for the use of the plaintiff ou December 17, 1012..
Mr. Davidson, of Messrs. Hastings and Hastings, appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. R. C. Faithfull for the defendant,
Mr. Davidson at the puteot informed his Lordship that unleas his friend admitted the receipt of the money, he would have to ask for an adjournment, becaure the witness who confirmed the plaintiff's story was away when they tried to get hold of him and had only returned to the Colony that morning.
Mr. Faithfull admitted the receipt of the money, but that was all he would admit.
Mr. Davidson said the plaintiff remitted the money from Kwangtung to the defendant, the money being placed in the bank. The money WOO not intended for any particular pur- pose. It was deposited with the defendant and when plaintiff endeavoured to obtain possession of it he failed to get it.
Plaintiff in the box denied a suggestion by Mr. Faithfull that be sent the money for the express
