The first meeting was held yesterday afternoon be tween the Finance Minister and the Quintuple Bankers for the discussion of the terms of a supplementary loan of £8,000,000 sterling at 5 per cent. The terms are, in general, similar to those of the Reorganisation Loan, and the object is the payment of short-term loane amounting approximately to £2,500,000 from foreign sources and the balance from Chinese. The Loan is to be secured on the surplus revenue from salt.
