following remarkable. elegram from Monastir in Macedonia is published by the Pester Lloyd. (Badapost) :-

"On the occasion of the calling out of recruits from the Tatip District a battalion formed from that purely Balgarian locality and mustered at Ristovao rofused to take the oath to the Servian coloura. As all threats to induce them to do so were of no avail the battalion was shot.”
