Accountant's Claim for over Four Thousand Dellars..

In the Supreme Court, this morning, before Mr. Justice H. H. J. G mper 2, the case was resumed in which LP. Watson, 13, Vistoria Street,an accountant,sued Friederich Reichmann, proprietor of the Grand Hotel, for the sum of $4,178.43, balance due from' the defendant of money lant by the plaintiff to the defendant and money paid by the plaintiff to various parsons or firms at the request and on behalf of the defondant, between May 12,1911 and January 6, 1912, .

Mr. F. O.Jonkin, instructed by Mr. C. Farebrother Mason, of Messrs. D'Almada and. Msson, appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Eldon Potter, instructed by Mr. Dizon, of Messrs. Wilkinson and Grist, appeared for the defen- dant.

When the hearing was resum ed this morning, the defendant continued his evidence, being oroes-examined by Mr."Jenkin. The plaintif had sometimes borrowed money from him, but he had never borrowed money from plaintiff. He lent him such sume à 820, and got it back when he paid plaint if his wage. The man who had so much money passing through his hands, the man who merely handed him à round sam each night, and the man who operated on such booke as led defendant to be swindle), borrowed

Mr. Yamaza, Japanese Minister at Peking, was slightly ill on Tuesday with heart trouble, On Wednesday he was worse and the doctor injected an opiate to relieve the pressure on the heart. During the afternoon he had threa attacks which the doctore feared might prove fatal. Át seven in the evening he rallied but towards midnight he saak rapidly and died at 12.30 in the morning.
