FUNDS REMITTED FROM PEKING.

Peking, Received May 18. The Government has already remitted for the redemption of Canton actes $7,000,000 which was derived from the surplus of the Salt Reverb.

The Quintuple Group has agreed in principle to the traveference of an additional $10,000,000, which was originally iten fed for the purchase of machinery, for which it is not now needed, to the redemption of Canton: notes. It is pointed out that this means a considerable increase in the actual salt revenue because the value of the noten now being received is much below par,
