The notification which was published some time back states that the postman will call only at the front door of private houses to deliver correspondence. Should boxes be provided they will place the correspondence in them and then ring the bell twice to indicate that they have called. Where no letter boxes are pro- vided they will ring once and hand the correspondence to the 'person who answers the door.
