The command of the gunboat Britomart, on recommissioning, has been given to Lieutenant A. B Preston Thomas, who succeeda Lieutenant and Commander W. H. Darwall, who recommissioned the ganboat at Nanking in March, 1912. Lieutenant Preston- Thomas joined the service in July, 1804, is a gunnery specialist, and was promoted lieutenant in April.
