Pacific Mall Permit.. The Pacific Mail steamship company has received a permit from the Japanese authorities to transport Japaneen immigrante from Nagasaki, Kobe and Yoko has to Honolulu, Hawaii, for a period of one year from Febru ary 1, 1914. to January 31, 1915. The vessels permitted for the purpose are the Mongolia, Manchuria, Korea, Siberia, China, Persia and Nile.
Pilota' Agreement.
A Working agreement has been reached between the three bodies. of pilota operating on the Lower Yangtae with a view to abolisb ing the ruinous competition that bas hitherto obtained. Former "greements have thus far ended in triangular lawsuits between the parties concerned but it is hoped that the present agreement, which is for five years, will be sufficiently binding to ensure the
