Messrs Wright and Hornby in their weekly share report dated February 14, state: The Market has ruled quieter during the week with a weaker tendency at the close. Bar Silver is 261 per oz. ready and 208 per oz. for forward delivery markot steady. Exchange on London opened to-day as 1/10] T.T.

Para Rubber in quoted from London 3/1.1-2 per lb, and the market for shares quiet.

Banks-Hongkong and Shanghai Banks have been done in small quantities at $8374 and $840 closing with sellers at $840 and buyers at $835. London quotes £84.

Marine Insurances-There have been sales of Unions at $840and $837.1-9 closing steady at the latter rats. Cantons are wanted, at $323. North Chinas have buyers Tls. 137 and Yanglezes at $193 Ex 73.

...Fire Insurances -China Fires are easier with sellers at 81574 after sales at $160. Hongkong Fires were booked at 8337 and $390 si are now wanted at $395.

The REGISTER of SHARES of the Company will be closed from TUESDAY 17th to THURS DAY 28th February, 1914 (both. days Inclusive), during which period no TRANSFER SHARES can be registered.

Docks, Wharves and Godownd Hongkong and Whampoa Docks are steady at 374 buysis. Kowloon Wharges after advanc ing to $85g sales were done at 284; and there are further sellers. There are buyers of Shanghai Docks at Tla. 56 and Hongkew Wharves of Tia 106.

Lands Hotels and Buildings:-Hongkong Lands have sold at 8112 and there are farther, buyëra. Humphreys Estaten havO buyers at 886 and sellers at 881. Kowloon Lands are enquired for at 3d6. West Points are wanted at 888. Hongkong Hotels have advanced to $124 and 693 buy ra for the old and new shares respectively on the declaration of the dividend of $7 per

bare, on the old and $3.50 per share on the new. Shanghai Lands are Tlv 93 buyers

Refineries:China Sugars after advancing to 893 sales and bayers have declined to 898 vellers. Lasons are unchanged at $80 sellers
