A Question of Habeas Corpus.
Sir William Rees Davies (Chief Justice), and Mr.
Justice Gomperia (Puise Judge) sitting in Appelate Jurisdiction, in the Supreme Court, this morning, heard a motion in an action between Lung Obi-kwong, Gov Sir Francis Piggott: Yes my érnor General of the Province Lord, certainly, and this oase of Kwangtung and Woo Ming could have been got out of the pan, Commissioner of Finance way and this habeas corpus could for the Provings of "Kwangtung | have come on today, and the Republic of China, against Chung Sou-nam and the Russo Aulatio Bank, in a claim for the return of @180,000, the property of the Goverment of the Provinos of Kwongtung, which cum was had, and received, by Chung Sau-nam | Thursday,-*** for the purpose of being remitted forthwith to Nanking, but which defendant has not ea remitted; and has misappropriated to his own use the said sam, or portion thereof, now being deposited in the defendant bank. In the al- ternative, plaintiffs claim from the defendanta $150,000 as liquidated damages. The mo- tion is that the action to diemie- sed na frivolous, vexatious and au abuse of the process of the Court.
