COMMERCIAL.

SHARE REPORT.

Mesara Wright and Hornby, in their weekly share report, dated January 10, state:-

Our local market continued quiet during the week with vary little business passing.

Bar Silver comes from London, at 28 per oz. for ready and 264 per oz. for forward delivery, market steady,

Para Babber is quoted from London at 8/1 per lb, and the market for shares is quiet.

Exchange on London opened today at 1/11 T.T.

Banks-A fair business has been done in Hongkong and Shanghai Banks at $796 and the shares remain firm at that figure. London quotes £80.

Marine Insurances-Unions have sellers at $805 with business done at $800 and Cantons have Bellersa: $325. North Chinse have buyers at Tis 133, and Yangtazes sre easier at $1,921 or 78.

Fire Insurances : Business has been done in China Fires at $160 and farther shares are obtainal lo at the rate. Hongkong Fires have buyers at $380 and close firm.

Shipping:Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboats have sellers at $29, and Douglases are steady at $29. Star Ferries have buyers at $46 but few shores are offer- ing. Indo-Chinas are on offer at $79 with little business doing, Shell Transports have been sold to London 95- and close firmer at 96/- buyers.

Docks, Wharves & Godowas: ➡ Hongkong and Whampoa Docks are wanted at $74 while Kowloon

Wharves have sellers at 888. Shanghai Docks have buyers at Tla. 67 and Hongkow Wharves remain unchanged at Tie 100.

Landa, Hotels and Buildings:- Hongkong Londe have been done at $114 and $1144 and olose with buyera at 8114. Humphreys Eetates wore booked at 891 and there are further buyers,

Kow. loon Lands are wanted at $45, West Points have buyers ut 407h. Hongkong Hotels (old) are offer ing at $122 and the new issue have buyers at $92. Shanghai Lande are unobanged at Tls. 91.
