Following is the report present- ed to the shareholders at the Half- Yearly Ordinary General; Meet- ing, of the shareholders of the Yokohams Specis Bank'; 's report of the meeting appeared in the Telegraph on Monday:---
Gentlemen: The Directors submit to you the annexed State ment of the Liabilities and Assets of the Bank, and of the Proft and Loos Account of the Half-year ended June 30, 1913.
The Gross Profits to the Bank for the past Half-year, including yan 1,219,381.19 brought forward from last account, amount to Yon 22,308,304.66, of which" You 18,928,585.60 have been deducted. for Interests, Taxes, Current Ex- penses, Rebate on Bills Current,. Bad and Doubtful Bonus for Officers and Clerks, &c., leaving of balance of Yen 3,379,768.98 for
appropriation.
The Directors now propose that Yen 350,000.00 be added to the Reserve Fand, and recommend a Dividend at the rate of Twelve. per cent, per annum, which will abaori, Yen 1,800,000.00.
The Balance, Yen 1,229,768.06, will be carried forward to the! credit of next, account.

Incident in the Red Sea. The 8.8. "Strombus," which arrived at Colomba from Ten-lon on Sept. 11th, had an exciting in- 15 cident to record, During the run between that port and Colom ho, J. W.
