A European charged two chair coolies with refusing to perform their duty, at the Police Court, this morning, before Mr. Orue.
The complainant said that there were coolies privately em- ployed by him, and it was their duty to carry him from Barker Road to his residence, and down when required. The men refused yesterday and he had to walk down.
The defendante said the work was too hard.
