R. E's First Defeat in Buscoigne Leaguel

"A" and "G" Companies of the D.O.L.I. met the Royal Engineers last evening and inflicted on them their first defeat of the season in the Gascoigne League at the Or- dinance Camber.

The teams were an follow- "A" and "G" Companies D.O.L.I.: - Challenger, Morey and Baldwin; Farmer, Smith, Cassell and Shale.

A mesting of the Sanitary Board was held yesterday after noon at the offices of the Board, Mr. D. W. Tratmon presiding There were also present the Hon Mr. E. A. Fewett, the Hon Mr. E.R. Hallitar, Messrs. F. B. L. Bowley, Col Younan, Ng Hon-tsz. Chan Kai-ming, Dr. F. Clark M. O. B. and Mr. W. Bowen Rowlands, secretary.

From the commencement the Engineers attacked with their accustomed speed but were not able to make any impression on the Cornish goal, while the Corn- walls in like attempts got just as, far forward with the Engineers custodian. In fact only one goal was scored in the first half, and that was by Tucker who swam the whole length of the "field" and finished off a five individual effort with a shot that Challenger could not stop.
