There is little that in fresh re- garding the Revoli either in the north or the south, Yesterday afternoon a telegram was received here in which it was stated that General Lung and his troops were expected to enter Canton that" fevening. The absence of a tele- gram announcing the General's arrival indicates that it was some what premature. There can be no doubt, however, that the gene ral aspect is much more peace- able at present than it was a few days ago. The soldiers have been pacified and both they and the officials no longer appear to be opposed to General Lung's entry into the city. President Yuan has appointed Wong Shi Loong ae Commander of Kwangtung and the hope is entertained that with his arrival a normal state of affairs will prevail.
