THE COCAINE CASE.

THE HONGKONG TELEGRAPH, THURSDAY, AUGUST 7. 1913.

Revenue Officer Wilden was re-examined by Mr Hodgson. He said that in saying defendants' object was wrong he meant the attempt at bribery might mean a trap for him. By the words "whatever his object was it was wrong" he meant that the bribery Was wrong. He did not know what the object was, He waited until the 20th June before taking any action because he wanted to be sure that the consignment. was really occaine.
