In all of the descriptions published of the Derby, Day Comet in Atated to have finished sixth, but the photo. graphs show that Mr. Leopold de Rothschild's oolt finished eitbor third or fourth, in which case he should have been placed either! second or third after Craganour had been disqualified. A study of the photographs shows that a mistake appears to have been made, and the discovery only helps to add to the sensations that made the Derby of 1913 perhaps the most extraordinary in the bis- |tory of the great race.
