She is also equipped with wireless tele- graphy, freezing chambers and disinfecting apparatus. She has five holds and eighteen lifeboats, and is 460 feet long, 60 broad and 40 5 feet deep. At the beginning of March, the third ship of the Volunteer Fleet, the Sakaki Maru, was launched at the Kawasaki Yard, Kobe. In June sho will presumably, like the other ships of the Volunteer Fleet, be chartered by the South Manchuria. Railway Company and will ply between Shanghai and Dalny. She is of 4,850 tons, is 358 feet in Will or about length, 46 in breadth and 26 in 1st half Juns.depth.
