Singapore Electric Tramways.
The accounts of the Singapore Electric Tramways show an excess of revenue over expenditure of
£34,439, the profit for the year, 9.15
after charging debenture interest, depreciation and royalty paid, being 85,358. Compared with 1911, tramway revenue shows an increase of 41,440, There were 308,080 more passengers carried in 1912 than 'in 1911, the car mileage being 29,893 loss. After lengthy negotiations with Municipal Coun.issionera Singapore, the company has been able to secure an extension of tho arrangement under which it sup- plice current-for-lighting-and- power purposes.
