In the afternoon a return official visit took place, says the "N.China Daily News," at the Ameri- can Consulate. The Chinese re- presentatives present were the Military Governor of Kiangsu, General Chen Teh-chasu, the Civil Governor Mr Yin, Mr Ivan Affairs, the City Magistrate, sove-Pakhoi, Chen, Commissioner for Foreign ral of the Police Commissioners, the Magistrates of the Mixed Court, the President of the Chinese Swatow, Chamber of Commerce, and other officials of the Government.
