C.Y.C. Closing Cruise,

The closing craise of the Corin- thian Yacht Club season, took place yesterday at Kowloon, and

..was attended with every success.

Mr. Van Andel's prize was won Weather conditions were good by Captain Milroy with the Gael, and although there was a very the "victim" being Mr. Eng- variable wind, some excellent land. raoing was a feature of the day. The course laid out was, Lye- man Beacon, starboard, Mark boat, starboard, and Channel Rock starboard. Among the most interesting events, was a life. saving contest for a cup presented by Mr. Van Andel.

Atthe conclusion of the program- me Mrs. J. Spittles presented the prizes, and was in turn presented with a handsome bouquet, tied with the Club's colours, and in a silver bolder, by the Commodore Dr. Francis Clark, on behalf of the O. Y. C. and those present. The racing resulted as followe: Mrs. Clark's prize (for which the Dorothea, Bat, Violet; Gael, Alanash, Asthore and Thecla Qualified); 1, Theols, sailed by Mrs. Brett.

(Mr. Burn).

The officials, who were as un der, deserve every commendation for the excellent manner in which an interesting programme was carried through
