Film Censorship over-ruled. The municipal board of Manila decided last week to permit the axhibition of the film entitled, "The Conquest of the Philip Japan pines," which had been censored by the censor committes.. The film is an historical drame, with the landing of Legaspi and Urdaneta as the main feature of drania. It cost more than P3,000 to produce, all of the costumes having been made especially for this drama. Captain Scott, of the committee, objected to the film on account of the number of en gagements and battles between the Spanish and Filipino formes, as well as several murders and kidnappings which occur during the course of the play. These were neither instructive nor help ful, said captain, as well as re- marking that the film was fiction, and not history.
