She has accomplished the fine speed of 12.1-2 miles per hour which is sufficient to enable her to over- take any merchant craft on the river. The new launch is 33ft bý 6ft. 3in.; and is of solid cons struction, admirably adapted for beavy work. She is driven by 40 h.p. Derasset engine. She is started on petrol, but runs on kerosene, her oruising speed on the latter being 11.1-2 miles por hour.
