SHORT SERMON.
"These Little Ones." Thanks be to him who has so wondrously anticipated all our needs and wants, wherever there are men and women, a little child is "in the midst of them."
And because of this greatest of all earth-facts, our hearts are happier, our lives more fall, our work easier and more profitable than could ever be were man's being otherwise ordered.
We think more about little children at this time of year. It is their particular time-at least we say so, though we know in our hearts that the whole year be longs to them; that flowers and fruit, gold hills and fields of spotless now, belong, more to them than to us. For naturo be longs to those whose who love hor mont.
THE HONGKONG, TELEGRAPH, SATURDAY, JANUARY 11, 1918.
At this time of year, when the child is much in our thoughts, we should be thinking out ways in which to give back the divinė gift of childhood to all children.; ways in which to guarantee to them more air and sunshine, moro play time and play space, more of the things they "love and need,
So that in time all places on this earth may fulfill the vision of the prophet, who saw as his ideal of human habitations a place where "the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof."
