Further, it is laid down, that there. is to be complete control by the police as to what goes on. When a coffin is placed in the “city," a receipt is be given, and the coffin cannot be taken out till the police have satisfied themselves that things are in order, but in any caso everything must be done within the month. The Super intendent of the police, therefore, has not only given orders, to the men under his control but he has issued a proclamation. It may be said that this reform is greatly needed.
