British Shipping at Nagasaki,
British shipping Nagasshi during 1911 shows a decrease for the year of six vessels and 9,575 tons. The loss during the year. of two vessele on the lingkong- San Francisco and Hongkong- Vancouver runs, which formorly called regularly at that port, and had not boon replaced by the close of 1911, more than accounts for this decrease. Japanese ship- ping at Nagaski shows an increase of 58 vessels and 138,605 tons over that for 1910, whilo Gorman shipping shows a decrease of 29 Vossels and 134,584 tons, due to the fact that the mail steamers of the North Gorman Lloyd now call at Nagasaki and Tsingtau alternately, both on outward and homeward voyagos, instead of at Nagaaki at every trip na hereto- fore, Russian shipping, con sisting chiefly of vessels of the Volunteer Fleet, shows an in orease of 19 vessels an I 40,580 tons, the total shipping of the port giving an increase of 42 vessela and 30,203 tone over the figures for 1010. The total British ship- ping of Nagasaki, Karatsu, and Kuchinotan, for 1911 was 343 vessels and 1,120,004 tons, on in- arcaso over 1910 of 30 vossola “ and 95,807 tons.
