One of the most important ship- building orders placed recently is that for the construction of two high-speed turbins-fitted Allan linera for the Livepool Canadian service. Although the now ships are expected 10 attain a speed of twenty knots, and will be the fastest in the Canadian- Atlantic service, comfort is chiefly aimed at in their construction."
The Frahm anti-rolling tank- system will be adopted in those two new vessels, each of whichTM will accommodate 200 saloon, 500 socond cabin and 1,000 third-olass passengers. Each ship will have accommodation for the handling, of 3,000 tons headweight cargo. For the handling of provisions a cold-storage plant with 70,000 cubic feet space, and refrigorating machinery will be provided.
