port via the Panama Onual that a connecting line soross the Pacifle would-bo-established with the Shiro or Glou linore of the com- pany's immense floot attracted much interest. One of the developments ox pected to follow the opening of the Panama Canal is the aug- montation of the Blue Funnel lino, which, it is reported, will then establish another line via tho canal.
