EDUCATION TO-DAY IN INDIA.
Tinnevelly, March 6th-The Travancore Goveriuuent have just disposed of the joint niemorial signed by the Archbishop of Veropoly and five Bishops in which they pleased that the Catholic students of the State should be compelled to receive olucation only in Catholic schools. Their Lordships pointed out that No Borions and intelligout person will fail to soo the need in India, specially at the present time, of a sound and moral education based on religions principles in pre ference to godless education in- parted in most other schools which with their godless touching overywhere have caused a can-
