steamor is in touch with thirty-

two liners, and olevon shore sta tions in addition to the two regular long distance stations at Clifden and Cape Cod.

The daily of the steamship Kaiser Wilhelm II. has twenty- four pages, and it has so many advertisements it can be given Iree to the passengers and still leave the Nordeutscher Lloyd a profit. Humorous il- lustrations are a feature, and a puzzle page gives much amuse- ment on the voyage. Much use is made of the paper to keep pas

in touch from a business. sengere point of view.

One of the simplest of the ocean dailies is the "Transatlantic American," issued on the steamers of the America Line. It is only a four-page news shoot, but it has editing reduced to a gcionco. On bne day during her last voyage the Lateamship St. Louis had nows from the Capo Race land station, the English warship Inflexible, the yacht Iolanda, the cableship Cam- bria, and the liner Kronprinzessin Cecilie.

The Atlantisches Tageblatt! oa of the Humburg American Line is a sixteen-page shoot, and makes no pretension to elegance. It is printed partly in German, partly in English, and has a story by- some popular writor. It makes advertisements of hotels its strong feature.

On the other hand the "Ex- pross Mail," published on board the Canadian Pacific linor Eme pross of Ireland, is a most elegant affair. It has twelve pages, and " is enclosed in a handsome wrap- per stamped in gold with an emblematic design printed in the richest colors. It is delivered to tho passengers free and has no advertising, unless one may con- sider as such the beautiful pic tures given of Canada..
