OFF GAP ROCK.
13th inst. News was br ught ove to Hongkong last night of another maritime disaster when a large deep-sea fishing junk got wrecked off Gap Rock at 2 o'clock on Menday morning. It was blowing hard from the Norhat the ime and the steering gear of the funk failing to answe the helm was blown on the rocks on Jubilee Island about three miles to the spath-east of Gap and was drifting to the South. This was the Rock Lighthouse. The junk was cut in two report cabted to the Harbour Authorities yester day meraing with the additional information that the members of the crew could be seen clinging to the wreck. The steam latach Ruang Lea was promptly charterad and order- ed to proceed to the wreck with all speed.
