The above signals will, as heretofore, bs -hoisted only whoa typhoons exist in` such. positions or are moving in such directions that Information regarding them is considered to be of importance to the Colony or to shipplag leaving the harbour.
These signals are repeated at the Harbour Oce, H.M.S. Tamar, Green Island Signal Mast, and the Flagstaff on the premises of the Hongkong and Kowloon Wharf and Gɔdowa Company at Kowloon,
URGENT SIGNAL
In addition to the above, when it is expecte i that the wlod may lacreare to fall typhoon forca at any 'mement, the following Urgent Signal will be made at the Water Police Station, and repeated at the Harbour Office :--
THREE EXFLOLIVE BOMBS, AT INTERVALS
OF TEN GECONDS.
A Black Orozs will be holsted at the sama time, sapezior to the other shapes.
HIGHT SIGNALS.
The following Night Algoala'will be exhibit ed from the Flagstaff on the roof of the Water Police Station at Kowloon, the Harbour Offro Flogata, and ILM.S., 7'amar:
1. Then Lights Vertical, Green Green Green, Indicates that a typhoon is believed to be situated more than 300 miles from the Colony
II. Threa Lights Vastal, Green Red Green, Indicates that a typhoon is bellaved to ba situated less than 300 miles from the Colony,
III. Threo Lights alcal, Red Gran Red _Indicates_that-the-wind-may-ba-expected "to"
increase to full typhoon forcé at any moment,
No. 111. Signal will be accompanied by the Explosive Bombs, as above, in the event of the information conveyed by this signal being frst published by night.
