Hongkong #th September, IRIN

The meeting will be memorable from the fact of a presentation to Mr.R. F. C. Master by friends of the Gymkhana Club on the occasion of his forthcoming marriage.

The cash sweeps and "pari" provided their usual fascination. Mr. Rumjahn's counter must have done a good afternoon's business consider.. ing the brisk activity proceeding before and after each race. As in most events the favourite. won, the dividends paid out did nét fuínish any ansprlses, with tho exception of the tent-peg- ging competitios and the ladies' pomination race, when the dividends ware $157 and S163, respectively, therebelog only a single bicker on the winner in each care. Blackmore,Vale's win in the Gymkhana Stakes Ind to the winning. outright by Mr. J. Johnstons of the cup present. ed for the season. In the tent pegging competi- tion Mr. Gadgo's team was v'ċtarious on Satur- day.. The R.G.A. team, however, tops the score list with 215 marks fur the season. The trophy therefore was awarded to Capt. Twins and bis colleagues, Captains Finch and Loring,

At the conclusion of the afternoon's racing several ponlea ware put up for auction.

The Band of the Buffs was present at the Race Course on Saturday. Bandmaster Hewitt added considerably to the pleasure of the after. doon's sport by treating the spectators to a delightful programms of pleasing colections, We give below the details and results of each
