HAS ALWAYS ON HAND
A cablegram has been received at the head office of the Clifford-Wilkinson Taos Mineral Water Co., Ltd., stating that "Tansen Water" has been awarded a gold medal by the judges of the Anglo-Japanese Exhibition. Seeing that this local natural mineral water has had to com- pete ag slost many Gorman and Austrian waters,. the success thus you by Tansan'is very pota- worthy, and wo beartily congratulate the com- Piny and every one connected with the works st Takaradzaku, Mr. Clifford-Wilkinson's leng sad arduous up-hill struggle to win a world- wide demand for Tansen seams at last to be CURIOS, PORCELAIN, JADESTONE mosting with its dus reward. It is no small credit to the company that they are able to have the Water transported by steamers all the way to Europe, passing through, as it necas. sarily must pass through, several variations, of climate, and deliver it on the London market la tip-top condition. Kohe Herald,

It came into existence in 1678, when Parlia ment and the great mass of the population of the country was in a state almost of paste in consequence of the revelations or suppised ravelations of the ramifications of the Popish plot. It was described as an Act for the more effectual preserving of the King's person "and" Government by disşöling „Papists from sitting in either Hourd."
The extension of the Declaration to the Crown itself did not take place until the Bill of Rights, in 1700 it was necessary to provide for succession to the Throne, and the Declar ation originally framed to protect the Crown from evil councillors became extended to the Crown itself, and remained ́obligatory on the Crows after other persons bad been relieved of.

KINO EDWARD'S WISH.
E ENTAL-The nonuat rent on 400 Orlongs is jo'cauta par Odong and 25 cents (Singapore Car- TODcy) per Oslong on 3.600 Orlongs, which, it will be noticed, campires very favourably in- deed with the $4.00 per acre which mapy estates in the F. M.S. will shortly be paying. CONDITION OF ESTATE-Excepting 400 Orlongs of hilly land on fer virgia juigle, practically the whole estate is opened up and has once been under cultivation. Where cultivation has bean suspended for some time, patches of tallang bave grown, but for the most part, these areas baze come up in grass and weeds which can very easily be got rid of, DRAINAGE —The land is mostly undulating and requires little drainage. At the time of the ex- pert's visit, although heavy rain had been falling for two days in successido, he neverbeless - remarks that there was no water anywhere in the field. A hill stream of excellent. water,
which is a great consideration in the manufacture of sabbir, besides assuring-good drinking. The Premier took the somewhat unusual step. water to the labour force, Nowa rapidly through the estate. LABOUR-At present there are about too coolisy on the Estate, but the expert states that a large
force is easily procurable'in the immediata neighbourhood. BUILDINGS-The buildings on the Estate consist of a Tapioca factory, which is partly roofed with corrugated iron and partly with attep, also two Chinese Kongen honges, twenty attap coolia lizes and a godowa). The factory should prove useful later on as a rubber-drying shed. | SUNDRIES. These figure as a carts, 30 buffaloan, and 12 bullocks. CULTIVATION-The expert relies on abe figures supplied by the pressat in losger, the correct. Doss of which he accepts from appearances. Aceomnf the trays has since been taken by Mr. Xwer the manager of the Victoris Estats Ballee Gayarament Bailiff, confirming the correctness of the estimate, from which the following pricalars are taken:-

GENERAL --The Part trees are mentioned as looking healthy and shewing average growth. The younger coconuts look beliby though somewhat retarded, whereis the 4 years old traes are mentioned as being exceptionally good, as some of them are already in flower. The 101 trees are reported to be bearing profusely, thus affording reliable proof of the excel. lence of the soil.
The expert advises that the tapioca fields be planted with robber as soon as possible, as they are mostly clean, and he observes that an energetic man sger should be able to plant up 650 to 700 Acres inside twelve months at a comparatively small cost TIN-The expert-also states as follows:-"I feel pretty certain there is Tia on a portion of the land which it is proposed to acquire, and it will be a question for for her consideration whether boring should be attempted. If To should be found to exist, same would materially enhance the value of the property."
