Gibson bas kindly con- sented to lecture on "The Markets and Slaugh. tar Honses of the Colony," Slides will be shown illustrating the lecture and several mat- ters of interest pertaining to the Slaughter Henses will be explaiced. The second num bar of the series will be given by Linut, Beck- with, RN, on "The Harbour of Hongkong, Harbour Stations and Waters of the Colony, and the third by Mr. Jackman on "The Water Supply of the Colony, Its History and Present Works." The chair this evening will be taken by Dr. Wan Man Kai and the futerpreter, Dr. Lau Lal.
AMONGST recant presentations to the Royal Geographical Society are 106 photographs of Cheklang, China, taken by Major H. R. Davies, Oxfordshire Light Infantry. Major Davies has already presented many photographs taken by him during hit extensive travels in China to the Society. Those compililog the present - set are of the east coast province of Chekiang, and are carefully arranged and described in an album.
