HALF YEARLY REPORT.

The report of the board of directors is as follows:-"

The directors beg to submit to the share- holders the report and statement of accounts for the half year ending 31st December last..

charges, there remains, including $21,170.01 brought forward from last account, the sum,of, $150,766.39 at credit of prèdit and loss account.' From this amount the directors recommand that a dividend for the half-year of one dollar and twenty-five cents par share, or 500,000, be paid to shareholder, $15,000 be written off book value of steamers, $5,000 written off book value of whieves and 'papertice, and. $10,000, lead, leaving a balance of $20,766.30 to be be transferred to depreciation und insurance,

carried forward to now account.

A new paddle shaft has been constructed fox the steamer Benam. The usual Government survey and overbaul of the steamers Ninska Sui Anand Sur Tat have been effected during the half-year and the fleet is in good running
