On December 21nd the pomping machinery at Anderson's shift was put to work, and found equal to any emergency. This machinery is now in readiness in case extra water is met with in developments.
An air shaft has been started about 300 ft. S. of Anderson's to test the lode in this section, and to ventilate the 160 ft level from slope
balt.
The prospect shaft W of Stope has been abandoned, as the water prevented farther work with a hand windlass, atd the outlook was not promising enough to erect machinery to deal witb.the water.
