Refineries.—China Sugars are showing sigos of improvement aud äfter numerous sales at

$156 and $157 are inquired for at the latter price. Luzons have soilers, at $21. Perak Sugars are again on the upward move, and can be placed Tin. 350.

Mixing.-Chinese Engineerings are on offer at Tls. 19. Raubs continue neglected, and offering at $51. The extra, capital required to cuable the fileadwaters Mining Co. of Bagulo, Philippine Islands, to commenco, operations, has now been underwritten, and work is pro- gassing at the mice. The Posbares are quoted at par, at which price buyers prevail. Considerable interest has been evinced in this now mining field which, from the reports of the many experts who have visited it, would appear to be very promising.

Docks, Wharf and "Godowas-Kowicon Whatis are quiet at $61. Whampoa Docks have weakened to $51, closing firm at the rate. Shanghal Docks are in request at the reduced rate of Tis. 75. Hongkow Wharts have been sold at Tin 130 in the North.

Lands, Hotels and Buildings-Hongkongs Hotels continue firm and can be placed at $773 and $45, for the old and new shares, respect ively. There are buyers of Hongkong Lands at Stoz. Humphreys Estates are a weaker market withsollers at $8. There is no business to report in other stocka under this heading, quot- ations for which are unaltered.
