!INTERVIEW-WITH MR. E. 5, KADOORIE,
Mr. E. S. Kadoodle, (brotte of the' philan- thropist who' in 'donating 11s. 25,000 towards the bullding of another public school for Ching ese in Shanghai), whom Anglo-Jawry is very glad to welcome in its midst, is a fowish, finan. cier, who delights in maintaining the Oriental | tradition of princely generosity, sayı ihh Jewish Chronicle, London. His recent gift of the new bullding to the Bagdad Girls' School will be fresh in the minds of our readers, as an instance of his many bensfactions. Mr. Kadouria is a native of Bagdad, and has travelled largely in India and China, especially in the latter | country, where he has been established for nearly twenty-six years. He was a leading light; of the Hongkong Jewish community, where he acted as President of the local branch of the Anglo-Jewish Association, Although now resident in London he still exhibits the warmest interest in the work of the refining his connection with the Branch, and
Association. Mr. Kadooris recently gave some interesting information to a representative of the, Chronicle concerning some of the com
munition in the Eait.
BLUGGISH SHANGHAI,
Mr. Kadoorie first, spoke about the Jewish community of Shanghai,
"The community. there,” ko said, “is much bigger than that of 'Hongkong, with which I Steam Launches of Black or Wood, Lizion, Steel Bolldings and Roofs, Bridge am more familar. There is a Zionist Society Work, and all kinds of Machinery are made on the premises.
