Post Office.

The public are informed that the Christmas and New Year Parcel Mail to the United Kingdom will be closed in this office at 5 p.m., on Friday, the 12th of November, 1909. In order to facilitate the work and avoid, delay it in requested that parcels be posted, before the above date. The parcel mall by the long sea toute via Gibraltar is due in London on the 18th of December. Parcels may be forwarded via Brindisi with an' extra fan of 60 cents; suck parcals are dos to reach Lended on or about the roth of December with the Letter Mail. Parcels containing gold or silver must be insured for at least part of their value. All inuared parcels must be sealed. All the sealt must be of the same kind of wax, and must bear distinct impressions of some device. Tala device must be the same on each seal. Straight, curved or grossad lines are not at Quarry Bay Docks, admissible. Buttons or coins must not be used

for sealing.
